We photograph all types of events. Washington DC hosts a huge variety of events, and honestly I can’t think of a type or size of event I’ve not photographed.  Our client list includes government entities, fortune 500 companies and individuals and non profits.  We can scale up for major large events while at the same time being unobtrusive and discreet. Whether your event is a half day or multi-day, multi-location requiring a team of event photographers  and videographers we can help.

When photographing a conference event, our goal is to capture the “look and feel” of a conference, the energy and ‘buzz’ of an event. It’s not just the obvious speaker/audience shots (although clearly these are important) but framing images that optimize the attendance and diversity of the audience. The speakers and VIP’s are important, but so are the attendees and other peripheral events. Early morning breakfast networking, messaging signs and banners and registration. The networking that takes place during the breaks between sessions is something your audience wants to see. Equally important is the coverage of all the general sessions with emphasis on keynote speakers and appearances by top officers of the companies. We often travel with clients year to year to different locations

Foodie and lifestyle events are some of my favorite events to shoot (being a foodie myself). Along with expected shots I tend to focus not just on the engagement and energy of the event but also the details and styling of the event. Food of course, yet also decor and lighting. Using low light cameras to capture the event and it’s lighting. Frequently there are several clients for whom images are required. For example the social media team, the marketing company, the sponsor company, the chefs etc.

I love shooting these types of events. Frequently hectic, always inspiring. The need is to communicated their passion and commitments to their mission and inspire and engage new supporters. Discretion during meetings with Senators and Congressmen is essential in order to not distract from the message.

  • HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL YOU TAKE AT MY EVENT?

    This number varies depending on the event, so it’s hard to give an exact number. That said, my associates and I do not put a limit on the number of images shot; my team and I will shoot as much as it takes to make sure that you have everything you need. 

  • CAN THESE PHOTOGRAPHS BE USED ON WEBSITES AND IN PUBLICATIONS?

    Absolutely! You want everyone to know how great your event was, and so do I. The fee for my event shoots includes licensing for both print and web usage. This includes your website, LinkedIn profile, Facebook page and any other social networking sites you may be using. In fact, I regularly deliver images onsite for use on social media, so just let me know what you need!

  • WHEN WILL THE PHOTOGRAPHS FROM MY EVENT BE AVAILABLE?

    I normally have high-resolution event photos online within 48 hours of the event. I also offer same-day turnaround and can deliver a grouping of photographs during an event for social media upon request

  • CAN YOU DELIVER PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE EVENT LIVE DURING THE EVENT?

    Yes. I have wireless capability on my camera that will allow me to deliver a selection during the event for your social media or AV use.

  • HOW ARE PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE EVENT DELIVERED?

    All images will be available for high-resolution downloaded electronically.  I can  deliver photos via Dropbox, ftp,  or however works best for you. I can provide them also on a disk.

  • WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

    I use the best equipment for the project. It’s not a one size fits all profession. For the most part I use Nikon and Sony equipment. Both have advantages in different situations. I love the compact unobtrusiveness of the Sony cameras. In addition it can shoot entirely silently while all those Canons and Nikons are making noise during an event.   Also, I always use at least two cameras for events. This allows me more flexibility and ensures that I always have a backup.  

  • ARE YOU INSURED?

    Yes, I carry $1M liability insurance and can provide proof of insurance upon request.

  • DO YOU TRAVEL FOR EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY

    I travel regularly across the US for my event photography work, and can capture great moments for you wherever you may be.
