the national archives washington dc

As a Washington DC event photographer, I always feel so honored to get to experience the array of impressive venues. The National Archives at 700 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington DC offers a stunning event space. The National Archives is home to the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights and the Public Vaults. When holding a private event at this location, guests are welcome to view the various exhibits.

There are multiple spaces available in the National Archives as event venues, including the Rotunda Gallery, where this event was held. This specific space can accommodate 100-200 guests for a seated dinner, or 250 guests as a cocktail reception environment. One of its fine features is the stunning 75 ft. vaulted ceiling.

Other spaces include the Archivist’s Reception Room, the William G. McGowan Theater, as well as a Conference Center with multiple rooms to suit the needs of your meeting. This particular event at the National Archives reflected a tasteful patriotic theme, utilizing the Nation’s colors; red, white, and blue throughout the venue. It is also the colors of the corporation hosting the event.

The color scheme was reflected through the use of the lighting, table décor, as well as flower selection and menu design. The space makes for an impressive venue where guests are sure to appreciate the historical environment as well as the beauty and elegance of the space.
